Attorney Neil Ognibene

Biography

Neil Ognibene is a dedicated and hardworking associate attorney. He is a proven asset to the firm’s growing team of attorneys. Neil is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and he heads the firm’s Federal Employment Practice out of the Tampa, Florida office.

Neil comes to the Hoyer Law Group by way of the Whistleblower Law Firm, where he also specialized in a variety of federal employment matters. Prior to working with the Whistleblower Law Firm, Neil managed his own federal employment investigation firm for a decade, during which he gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the federal employment space. He contracted with numerous federal agencies to serve as a neutral investigator for complaints of federal employment discrimination, harassment, and whistleblower retaliation. Neil now leverages that experience, from both the employee’s and employer’s perspectives, to advocate for his clients.

Since joining the firm, Neil has had tremendous success advocating for his clients against the federal government. He has successfully opposed multiple motions for summary judgment; negotiated numerous favorable settlement agreements; and has proven trial experience.

Not only does Neil have documented success advocating before federal administrative judges, but he also utilizes his exceptional people skills to relate to, and connect to his clients, who often feel overwhelmed taking on the federal government. He has a remarkable way of comforting his clients and putting them at ease as he assumes their legal stresses and anxieties.

Neil earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2004 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University at Buffalo, graduating with distinction in 2001. In 2000, Neil received a national Chairman of the Year award for a philanthropic organization in association with Pi Kappa Phi by raising awareness and providing support to children with disabilities. Neil continues to give back to his community by volunteering his time with the Knights of Columbus, and regularly donating to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
